What it tells you

  • Each time the vehicle was offered at a North-American auction, with the sale date and price
  • The primary and secondary damage recorded by the auction house
  • The odometer reading at each sale, which is the hardest mileage claim to fake
  • The archived lot photographs, showing the car as it actually stood at sale

Limitations

  • Coverage is North-American auctions. European-built cars appear when they were imported and sold there, which is common for cars later exported back to Europe.
  • Photographs are held by the auction archive and may be withdrawn over time.
  • No auction record is not proof the car was never damaged, only that it was never sold through a covered auction.

Individual vehicle records, not a comprehensive accident, title or ownership report. Missing records do not prove a clean history.
